God is faithful and merciful to bring us back to himself.
Galatians 4:8-9 (NIV) "Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods. But now that you know God-or rather are known by God-how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?" The day we all got to know God (or the day the word pierced us to become born again), our sin and wrong doing was exposed and we became determined to know God and live a life of righteousness. But what happened after some time?-The very things we cried about and asked God to forgive us when we gave our lives to Christ, we seem to do them all over again. The moment you turn from the way of life, your life becomes worse than it was before you turned to God. The reason is that the devil takes that as his advantage to keep you to himself. That's why Jesus taught us that when a demon is cast out of a person, it goes out to search for seven demons more wicked than itself, and if they find the house empty, they occupy it more powerfully making that person's life worse. (Mat 12:45) Let's examine ourselves to check whether we are still in line with the gospel that brought us to salvation. And if we are not, God is faithful and merciful to bring us back to himself. Have a blessed day
