Romans 1:16 (NIV) "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile." The gospel is an account describing the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. In other words it is the teaching and revelation of Christ in us. It is in this gospel that the righteousness of God is revealed to man and it is responsible for the salvation of mankind. It was because of the gospel that we gave our life to Christ;-but how be it that today we are ashamed of the very gospel that gave us life. We fear to talk about the gospel in front of our friends or even associate ourselves with it, yet our friends also need to know the gospel because we are called to be witnesses to everyone man. The question is, if we fear to tell others what we know,-Did we really believe? Or we were just born into the system and don't feel the necessity to live by it. There's no way you will hear the words of life and not be excited to tell at least a friend. Brothers and sisters let's reflect on what we believed in when we told Jesus to be both our Lord and saviour. Jesus said in Luke 9:26 that, "Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels." God bless your day
