Mark 2:22 (NIV)
“And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.”
The new wine Jesus is describing is the new life we receive from God. The old wineskins describes the old sinful body which is not born again. So Jesus is literally telling us that we can not receive the new life of salvation and continue operating in the old sinful ways. If we do then the new life and the old body will both be destroyed and the life of salvation becomes meaningless.
Understand this child of God, when we become born again, we cease from being normal human beings to being Christ beings because in Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28). We are told in Colossians (1:26-37) that this was the mystery hidden from ages past that Christ in us the hope of glory.
So brethren know that you are new wine in new wineskins. Your life operations change as well. The bible tells us that this is love made perfect that we might have confidence on that day because as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). So you shall decree a thing in this life and it shall be established. For what you bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven. For Jesus promised that we would do greater things because He lives in us.
May your day be fruitful
