The Lord is on my side

Psalms 118:6 (KJV)

“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”

Isn't it beautiful to know that the power above all powers is always on our side? Our confidence increases each time we make ourselves aware of the presence of God in our lives. In fact there is nothing man can do to you when you take refuge in the Lord. Take an example, there are men who feel confident when they have guns around them. They feel very protected and secure but they forget that their guns cannot kill viruses and many other small organisms which are lethal and dangerous to the body than man.

Friends, there is a power above all guns and viruses. Great Bible icons like Paul knew the principle. Not even a deadly snake could scare Paul to death when it bit him. That's why the bible tells us that we shall trample over scorpions and snakes and nothing shall harm us. So here is the point, having guns is good but without God, the gun is nothing. Having too much money is good but without God, it's nothing. Let's not make a mistake in trusting man and everything made by man because they will eventually fail us.

Let our trust and refuge be in God. When we do that, everything made by man will be subject to us and hence put to good use. Our trust in God casts out all fear and makes us confident to tackle any situation with ease.
