Jeremiah 29:11 (MSG)
“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”
Every time I read this scripture, it makes me excited about the God we serve. He gives us the liberty to choose how we want our future to be. Many times we read that scripture and fail to realise that we have a part in it. When you read the last portion of it, it says, "plans to give you a future you hope for." So my question is, what future do you hope for? God will give you exactly that future. I am speaking this from the point of experience of what I have always asked God and how I had imagined certain things to be and it happened that they turned out the way I saw them.
This gives me strength in the Lord and I have come to the belief that nothing or no body will trouble you when you are nothing. In fact the more hardship comes your way, the better God does those things you have always wanted Him to do because He wants to show you that He is the one in charge lest you boast of your our own abilities which are actually His. That's why a mad man will walk freely on the streets and nobody says or does anything to him. Even child kidnappers go for home children and leave those on the streets because they have substance.
Most of us may never know what we are going to become but God remains true. His word says that He has a great plan for you, to give you that expected end. So my brethren this is an opportunity for you to tilt your mind a bit and expect great things from our father. You will go through tough times because you have the ability to overcome. That's what is called the refining process. Even the gold goes through refining to have that beautiful appearance everyone desires to own. Refining only helps you and makes you ready to handle big tasks ahead. We should always have the Joesph example in our lives. Sold to slavery, made a house keeper, sent to jail and later rose to leadership.
