1 John 3:1 (ERV)
“The Father has loved us so much! This shows how much he loved us: We are called children of God. And we really are his children. But the people in the world don’t understand that we are God’s children, because they have not known him.”
The main reason Jesus died on the cross was to reconcile man to God. And before He did die, He said, "it is finished" (John 19:30). That statement Jesus said immediately confirmed that His mission on earth was done and we rightfully became the children of God. So my question is, what does it really mean to be a child of God? A child is one who learns to rest on the father for everything. They never get to worry what they will eat, dress, tuition fees or anything material.
That's why you must be confident in this world that you will never fail because you are no longer your own. You are God's own. Deuteronomy 28:7 says, "God will defeat your enemies who attack you." Meaning that It's God who fights on your behalf and not you. That's what is meant by being a child. In the deepest of any challenge, you just smile and brush it off knowing that the father is in control. You must stop focusing on things that swerve your attention from the real love of God. Just focus on God so that even the sin you have been struggling with for many years will get tired and quit by itself.
Where your spirit is, your body will go too. If your spirit is in God, your body has no option but to be in God because it becomes the temple of God.
Rest in God always
