1 Corinthians 2:2 (KJV)
“For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.”
Our ultimate business in the life of Christianity is to know Jesus Christ dead and resurrected. If any man is to grow in God, the first thing is to know of Christ. This is the basis of eternal life. Other things are secondary. We must literally search out the truths embedded in the bible about our saviour. The scripture says in John 17:3 that, eternal life is knowing the one true God and Jesus Christ His son.
Brethren let our hunger and thirst be for God. The bible says in Matthew 6:33 that seek yee first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall follow. Obviously all the other things means all the other things but the priority and primary thing is to know God. Let's not be distracted by the earthly things which are vanity. John the revelator after having a visitation to the heavenly realm, had a desire for Jesus to come back as quickly as possible.
Make it a point to have a personal relationship with He who died for you, Jesus Christ dead and resurrected.
Good day
