Romans 15:4 (AMP)
“For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.”
As we were growing up, we all had plans to live a certain life we wanted. We planned to get done with things at certain ages but as years passed by, some of the things didn't come as planned or expected. It's good to encourage oneself in such situations but it maybe dangerous if we do it in ignorance. The scriptures say that everything written was for instruction so that through endurance, you might have, hope, patience and confidence that whatever God has promised will come true.
You can only be patient when you are sure it will work out. Jesus is a typical example in this. When Jesus was told of Lazarus' illness, He didn't panic. He had a patience and confidence that Lazarus would be alive. That's why we need to amass ourselves with biblical truths so that our confidence in the things of God is increased. When you do that, you will learn how to go through any situation with an assurance of overcoming. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
God day
