Hear the Word of God and practice it

Genesis 6:18 (AMPC)

“But I will establish My covenant (promise, pledge) with you, and you shall come into the ark–you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives with you.”

When I read this portion of scripture, something struck my spirit concerning the wives of Noah's sons. This was the time man became very evil and defiant to God and He promised to destroy every human being except Noah's family. This is where the message becomes beautiful. The wives of Noah's sons also had families but they chose to believe God's promise through their father in law. They did not rethink to join their own families in rebellion but they chose to obey God through Noah.

Jesus said in Luke 8:21 that, "my mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and put it in practice." This means the Christian family supersedes all other families. In this regard, we must love one another and encourage one another for the fulfilment of God's purpose for everyone in God's family. Let's all contribute in building of the Ark with which we've been saved by the grace of God.

Let's be the brothers, sisters and mother of Jesus by hearing the word of God and practicing it. Let's be the pillars in our own families with which others will be saved by the grace of God.

Blessed day
