2Corinthians 9:6-7 (ERV)

“Remember this: The one who plants few seeds will have a small harvest. But the one who plants a lot will have a big harvest. Each one of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give. You should not give if it makes you unhappy or if you feel forced to give. God loves those who are happy to give.”

The reason many people don't like to give is because they are worried about tomorrow yet Jesus says in Matthew 6:24 that we should not worry about tomorrow. If we do worry then that means we haven't trusted God enough. Our trust is in the provision of money. That's why even in church when it comes to giving offertory. Many people are usually not decided. Some have mastered their money that they can feel in the pocket which of the notes is the smallest to give.

Giving small is not a problem but are you cheerful and happy when giving it? When you love God, your ways of giving also change. Our giving is like seeds, the more seeds you plant, the more harvest and vice versa. Giving does not only take place in church. Giving takes place anyway and everywhere but church is where we practice it.

When you understand the concept of giving, your life changes completely. In proverbs 19:17, the bible says that when you give, it's like giving a loan to God. So God becomes a borrower and in proverbs 22:7 the bible says that the borrower becomes a servant to the lender. So when you give, God becomes a borrower and He is put in a position to serve you (supply all your needs according to His riches in glory - Philippians 4:19)

God loves a cheerful giver.
