How do we rob God?

Malachi 3:8 (MSG)
“Begin by being honest. Do honest people rob God? But you rob me day after day. “You ask, ‘How have we robbed you?’ “The tithe and the offering—that’s how!"
Tithe and offering is one of the toughest subjects in church and many are manipulated for it. But here is the truth, when you genuinely love God, tithing becomes automatic for you. Some people think that when they tithe, they enrich the pastor or church leader. That's wrong because if you think so, then you are attending or going to the wrong church you don't trust. First of all tithing is not a request, it's a command from God Himself.
When you read the story of the early church in Acts, those people gave in abundantly. They were even willing to sell all they had for the gospel. Of course am not saying that sell all you have but you can do the least of godly principles. Tithe - a tenth of all your proceeds. The other reason people don't like to tithe is because they have not trusted God enough. Their trust is in the money they see (Mammon). But God Himself lovingly commands us to test Him at that. The truth is, when we do our part, many church bodies would not be suffering financially. There are many needy people in our amidst that only the church leaders know about.
There are many benefits attached to tithing. God promises to protect you and I from any attack, be it sickness, financial loss and many others. If you don't tithe, you end up spending all your money in hospital bills just to get good health. Compared to our brothers the Moslems, those guys give big. That's why God blesses them even though they haven't seen the truth in Christ. What about us believers in this great God. God honours principles. It doesn't matter who does them.
Let's support Christian bodies with our tithe and offering. You never know who receives the good news (gospel) because of your giving.
Blessed Sunday
