Wisdom is the key that unlocks other blessings

1Kings 3:5 (ERV) “While Solomon was at Gibeon, the Lord came to him at night in a dream. God said, “Solomon, ask me what you want me to give you.” Am pretty sure that the kind of question God asked King Solomon is still asked. Not very many can ask what Solomon did ask. Today people go to God and ask for supplementaries instead of the principle things. They fast the whole week for a beautiful wife, they fast the whole month for House rent and they fast the whole year for school fees. Those are things that can be fixed once you ask for the right thing. When God asked Solomon that historic question, he didn’t hesitate for a second but immediately asked for wisdom. God was pleased with Solomon’s request that He granted it to him. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33 to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness if we want other things to follow us. That means that once you know God, you have everything. However, people are interested in short fixes that’s why they are busy working for things that can be fixed by wisdom. The Bible says that one day in the house of the Lord is like 1000 days in the world. So every single second you spend in the knowledge of God is a step to attaining this Wisdom. Ask God for wisdom because it pleases Him to give it to you. No body was born wise, even King Solomon asked for it.
