Jesus the righteous judge

Exodus 2:14 (ESV) “He answered, "Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?" Then Moses was afraid, and thought, "Surely the thing is known."” There are striking similarities between the life of Moses and Jesus. Moses was raised in the Palace and considered one of the princes of Egypt, however, his heart was for his people the Israelites. So one day as he tries to solve a case between two brothers, he is ultimately rejected not knowing that he is soon to be chosen by God as their liberator and official judge. Likewise, Jesus came from a throne of glory to this earth because he loved us his brothers so much. However, just like Moses he was rejected by the very people he came to save. He was treated worse than Moses. He was humiliated, beaten, spat on and finally nailed to the cross even without any single crime committed. The only opportunity we have to be free and liberated by Jesus is now. There is no second chance after this life on earth. Most of us have taken the message of Jesus lightly. This is portrayed in our words and actions. Colossians 3:1 says that if we are serious about the gospel, then we must act like it.
