It’s not only bread that keeps people alive

Deuteronomy 8:3 (GNT) “He made you go hungry, and then he gave you manna to eat, food that you and your ancestors had never eaten before. He did this to teach you that you must not depend on bread alone to sustain you, but on everything that the Lord says.” Moses knew exactly what he meant when he said that our lives are not only sustained by food but by every word of God. You must understand that even if you woke up tomorrow and all the trees had dried up, no one person believing in God will die. If the word of God says you will live and not die. It doesn’t matter whether there is food or not, you will live. Either God will miraculously provide food as he did in the desert or he will increase and multiply the little you have or he will just make you full. He remains God. Brothers, hunger should not make you sell your birthright for a mosel of food just like Esau did. Jesus is our perfect example, he did not let food compromise His purpose and destiny when He was tempted by the devil. You will be in a situation where your stomach is so hungry that you are tempted to compromise. Don’t let that happen to you. God will sustain you all through. There was once a lady who gave in to sexual relationship with a man because he was providing food for her survival. Where is trust in God? Make the devil know that no amount of hunger will let you compromise the temple of the living God.
