Proverbs 3:9 (MSG) “Honor GOD with everything you own; give him the first and the best.” How do we honor God with what we have? Jesus teaches in Matthew 25:35-40, that when you do something for the least person, you are doing service to God. For example giving water to the thirsty, feeding the hungry, welcoming the homeless and clothing those without clothes. Your amount of wealth is not measured by how many cars you have or how many houses you’ve built, but your wealth is measured by how many people you’ve affected in this world. When God blesses you, He expects you to be a blessing to others. I want to assure you that when you determine yourself to help someone with what you have, God will always make sure that you have. At the end of our life on earth, what we leave behind is not what is engraved on stone monuments but what is woven in the lives others. Choose to be a blessing everyday to someone. It doesn’t matter how much you spend on them. No amount is too little to make someone happy. Some people just need your time with them. God bless you as you determine to bless His people. Don’t allow greed to eat you up.
