A hanged man brought salvation to the world

Deuteronomy 21:22-23 (MSG) “When a man has committed a capital crime, been given the death sentence, executed and hung from a tree, don’t leave his dead body hanging overnight from the tree. Give him a decent burial that same day so that you don’t desecrate your GOD -given land—a hanged man is an insult to God.” Sometimes when you examine this world, you fail to understand it. A man who steals oranges worth 10 rupees because he is hungry is killed on the very spot of notice, but a man who steals crores (millions) of rupees for greed is hailed and praised. Such is what happened to our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. His only offence was love but he was muddled and roughed up like a chicken thief and given a death sentence deserving the worst of sinners. Praise be to God because through Christ, our insults and curses were hung on the cross with him. The innocent Jesus hang on the tree to bear the sins of the entire world. Now it’s upon us to receive that free gift from Him. Jesus said that it’s only through Him that anybody can access God and heaven. Think of it, do you want heaven? If you do, then let Jesus be the focus and centre of your life. You just have to become serious about the gospel because everything around you, however good it may look like, is vanity and will perish with the world but the word of God will never pass away.
