You are conformed in the image of Jesus Christ
Romans 8:29 (AMPC) “For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.” There is a false humility that has crept into the church partly because people lack the knowledge of the scriptures. For example making foolish prayers like ‘God don’t give me a lot of money so that I don’t stumble’ is considered humility. But the question is, how can a new creature stumble? 1 Peter 1:23 says that we have been born of incorruptible seed. So where will your corruption come from unless you are not born again. Brethren, understand this, the New Testament creature has been raised to a higher place with Christ Jesus. The above scripture says that God has molded us into the image of Jesus. 1 John 4:17 confirms this truth to us by saying that ‘as Jesus is in heaven, so are we on this earth’. That means that you are like God Himself. And if you are like God, think of it? Is God poor, if not, why should you be poor? Is God sick, if not, why should you be sick? Is God wise, if yes, why aren’t you wise? Just plug yourself to the source of life to enjoy His benefits. You will always live a disadvantaged life unless you come to the understanding of the ancient words. In Isaiah 4:28, God said that He would not share His glory with anyone else. But remember He was speaking to the men of flesh, but you and I are men of spirit. It’s only Spirit men that share God’s glory and Jesus confirms that in John 17:22 when he said that His glory he has given to us just as He received from God. Brethren, we are a total sum of what we think of and speak. Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 28:21). God’s word is foolishness to those that don’t understand it. Our portion is to read it, meditate it and speak it. That is Spiritual warfare. Results will come by themselves. God gives us a choice in Deuteronomy 30:19. He says life and death I’ve placed before you. Choose life.
